Kol Tor Lake
Kol-Tor Lake, known for its stunning turquoise color, is especially beautiful in summer, though it remains frozen most of the year, with waters never rising above 5°C; formed by a landslide with no direct flow, the lake’s water drains underground to form a mountain river several kilometers below, and while we provide lunch boxes at the lake, the challenging 10km, 4.5-hour one-way hike is recommended only for experienced tourists, so be sure to pack sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a towel, hiking shoes, breathable clothes, extra socks, 2–3L of water, and snacks. Son Kol Lake 2 days tour
Lake is located high in the Tian Shan mountains of Kyrgyzstan, at the altitude of around 3,000 meters (9,800 feet) and stretches over 275 km2 with maximum depth 15 m ( 49ft ) frozen for more then half of the year, the lake and its arid surroundings welcome nomadic shepherds and their herbs only during the warm season usually from June to September. It is a pristine alpine lake known for its breathtaking natural beauty and surrounding grasslands. I just spend an awesome day with Farukh doing the magical Ala Archa National Park and the city sightseeing tour. As we drove through the clouds to Ala Archa, we soon noticed that the first snow had fallen during the night. The scenery was magical! Trip is good for everyone , you can decide how steep trails you want to go. During the sightseeing in Bishkek, Farukh told about life in the city and basic information about buildings and sights. Not numbers and years or architects, but what had happen there. Lunch at Faiza restaurant was really delicious too!

This was actually my second time doing city tour in Bishkek, and it was well worth it. I initially did this tour last summer. When I realized i would be coming back to Kyrgyzstan, I contacted them again and ask if we would do a similirare tour with perhaps a bit more emphases on the sovet harritage of Bishkek. My guide Farukh was generous enough to take me to a few landmarcs he normally would not incluide on the tour, just because he knew it would make me happy. his energy was pleasant, upbeat and he made me feel like i made a new friend at the end of the day. This is exactly what tour should look like.
